The Bill (Reg. No.1397) proposes not to extend the Law "On Basic Principles of State Supervision (Control) in the Field of Economic Activity" onto relations that originate whilst performing State control over nuclear and radiation safety in order to secure nuclear safety at the level of world standards.
The Bill is legally based on the regulations concerning State control over nuclear and radiation safety, which are stipulated by the Laws "On the Use of Nuclear Energy and Radiation Safety", "On Licensing in the Field of Nuclear Energy Use", the Convention on Nuclear Safety and the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste, ratified by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
